Technology Leadership Merit 2

Today I went to tech, firstly we got on the bus and drove all the way to Lincoln to get to tech then Charlotte to our science class and we got given a pineapple lump. Today we made robots  ones that can do anything but you just have to program them on a computer I enjoyed this because I got to do it with Charlotte and we made ours follow lines.  I was showing leadership by helping the people that was stuck to make the robot.

ICT Leadership Merit 1

On Wednesday was the ICT monitors first chance to get a feel for what our job was, we got explained what we would have to do in the morning (check the calendar if anyone has booked a pod if so, deliver it to that class) Anneke and I had to send an email to all the staff how the system works, we sent a long email about that, I was showing leadership by doing a proper email not just saying you have to book it on your calendar, Anneke and I took our before school time to do this, I enjoy ICT because I feel that I am a responsible person to do this job.

Peer mediation Leadership Merit 1

I have been remembering to turn up to my PM duty, I was showing leadership when my friends wanted me to just hang around the senior playground so we could chat but I said we can chat after my duty. My group didn't have to solve a problem that day, but we did have to sort out a few friend issues if that counts. I also encouraged some year 3 students to get involved because they asked if I knew what the PALS game was and I told them and they joined in!

On Tuesday 8th I went to tech, we always get there by bus, I show self awareness by turning up at 8:30 when the bus leaves and respecting the bus. I enjoyed tech on Tuesday because I like doing experiments with Charlotte L who is in Science with me. On Tuesday at Science my group did and experiment about how if we use our knowledge we can get a balloon into a bottle but the balloon can't originally fit into the bottle. If you burn a piece of paper and drop it into the bottle then put the balloon on top it should suck the balloon down the neck of the bottle.

WALT: Be a better leader and come up with good traits to be a leader.

Over the past few weeks we have been learning about how to be a better leader, the traits we came up with are the traits we thought you had to have if you were a leader.

1. Integrity 

2. Trustworthy

3. Resilient

4. Active Thinker

5. Goal Focused

6. Motivational

I think Sir Edmund Hillary showed these traits by: Leading his people to the top of Mt Everest

when he did that he was showing that he was goal focused because he was determined to get to the top and he was Resilient because when he was walking up the mountain there was ice and boulders falling around them and they didn't just give up they kept going no matter how hard it was!   

My SOLO level is Multi Structural

My next step is to compare and contrast the traits of different leaders.
