Technology must do #5

On Tuesday I went to tech. When we got there on the bus I ran all the way to woodwork (witch was not very far.) Firstly I went to the cupboard to where my wood is and started sanding the sides if my handle. Next at 9:30am we went to mandarin and learned about animals. At 10:00am we went back to the woodwork room and sanded until it was time to go back on the bus. I showed community by helping Sammy file her wood because she was away for 2 weeks and she was still up to sanding her handle on her tray. I was showing leadership by not being silly and taking loudly on the bus. I was being a role model by wearing my hat in the playground.

Technology must do #2

On Tuesday the year 7/8s went to Lincoln primary school to do tech. I am in woodwork for this last part of the year. I started making my tray handles and sanding them and filing them. I showed respect by listening to Mr Bowers when he was talking. I showed leadership by getting involved at lunchtime and including other people. I was a role model by playing on the playground and not braking anything or being rough.

Technology Must Do #1

Today was the first rotation on woodwork for me. We started with the rules, such as no talking when the teacher is talking...Next we made the plans of what we wanted to make, I decided to make a tray for my family because we don't have a tray and it would come in handy. Then we had to draw our design from the front, the side, the top and a 3D drawing, and this is just some of the stuff we did. I showed respect by following the rules the class made at the start. I showed leadership by helping the people who didn't know how to draw a 3D design. I was a role model by contributing to the class discussion.

Technology Must Do 5

Today all the year 7/8s went to tech, I am in tech styles and today we just had a chat about the process of making stuff (including selling them) I learnt you have to get feedback for heaps of people to know that it can go on sale, but you have to ask an important person that says that but I forgot what the name was. We also had to get a partner and they got to chose out of a shoe, a bed or a bag, and I interviewed them to know what I would have to make it look like. I showed excellence by cleaning up after I had done a prototype of a shoe (because that what my partner chose) I showed leadership by helping Savannah with making the bag she had to make for me, because she didn't know what to do.

Technology Leadership Merit 5

Today I went on the bus to technology, when my cooking group got there we made some muffins. These were kumara, onion and bacon muffins, I didn't really like them but some people did. I think I showed leadership by helping Charlotte my partner out when she was stuck because I am quite experienced with baking and cooking. I think I showed good values to my cooking teacher by listening to her and even when she got something a little bit wrong I corrected her but I did it NICELY.

Technology Leadership Merit 3

Today was my first time doing cooking! I was showing leadership because I helped clean the dishes once we had finished our hangi's, I showed resilience by waiting in line to put the food in the tin foil and trying new things because I had never tried a hangi before. We also learned about Kiwiana foods.
