Home learning challenge A:6

In this home learning challenge I visited 3 high schools open days and open nights I visiting schools such as Villa Maria College, Riccarton High and Girls High. All of these schools were amazing but my favourite overall was villa Maria. Some things I likes about these schools were that they all had lovely people and students and all the teachers seemed nice. I liked villa Maria the best because it seemed like the students had a bond with the teachers and they all had jokes and stuff with them. It also seemed like they all are nice to each other and a big group of friends. I showed excellence by having an open mind to all schools and I showed leadership by taking time out of tech to go to these open days.

C10 Design your own challenge

Today I went to an umpire training session for 1 and a half hours to learn all the rules of the year 5/6 netball because I signed up to be an umpire this year as one of the volunteers for my club. This will mean I might have to stay for a bit longer than usual at the Lincoln netball courts and wait around until the game I have to umpire starts. I will have to learn all the rules that are new to netball and train to be an amazing umpire to get to my bronze silver or gold certificate! I will have to practice getting my whistle loud and get confident in what I'm calling up and not being quiet because then nobody can hear me! I think I am showing excellence by volenteering and taking time out of my weekend to help the year 5/6s learn the rules of netball and help them be the best they can be!

Home learning challenge E8: Choose a musical instrument and learn howto play a new song

Today I learned how to play the main part of the song stay by Riannah. I only recorded a little bit because this song is mostly the same thing al the way through. Stay is a hard song to do because of the transitions between how to move your hands to whatever note so I am really proud of myself for getting it!
